Version 2 of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne’s Safeguarding Children and Young People (SCYP) Framework is now available. The SCYP Framework is comprised of the Safeguarding and Wellbeing of Children and Young People Policy and supporting resources (e.g. implementation guidelines, information sheets and templates). The Safeguarding Unit are continuing to release documents and we ask for your patience for any disruption to our website.
The purpose of these documents is to ensure that Archdiocesan parishes, agencies and entities articulate and proactively enact procedures and processes to protect the safety and wellbeing of children and young people from abuse and/or harm.
Editable versions of these policy documents will be made available shortly for parishes to customise with their details. Please note that these documents replace all previous versions of the Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy and the May Our Children Flourish Child Safety Code of Conduct.
