A special formation day is being offered to mark the 50th anniversary of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) in Australia. WWME is a weekend away offering married couples a special kind of ‘time out’—a different kind of ‘weekend getaway’. Based on Catholic values, the ministry started in Spain in the 1950s and has since spread around the globe.
The formation session is entitled Love and Respect: The Love She Most Desires, the Respect He Desperately Longs for, and will be followed by an evening of celebration over a shared meal at St John’s, Mitcham. All couples who have ever attended a marriage encounter weekend (anywhere in the world!) are warmly invited to attend these anniversary celebrations.
This formation day is a free event with a light lunch provided.
(Donations are welcomed on the day or via TryBooking.)
Our day will commence with a Mass at 8:30am—all are very welcome—and the formation day will begin at 9.15am.
About WWME weekends
WWME weekends continue to be run for couples and priests here in Victoria. The weekends are presented by 2–3 married couples and a priest (all volunteers). It’s a unique experience that leads and helps couples and priests to communicate deeply and intimately so that they grow connectedness in their relationships.
