Are you a passionate missionary disciple who wants to lead others to Christ and help renew parish life through evangelisation?

The Catholic Parishes of St Gregory the Great, Doncaster and St Kevin’s, Templestowe are seeking a faith-filled, dynamic leader to serve as Evangelisation Leader. This role is pivotal in helping our communities grow a deeper culture of intentional discipleship, mission, and outreach.

This intentional missionary disciple of Christ Jesus will be enthusiastic and will report to the Parish Priest and work co-responsibly with the Parish Priest, Parish Councils and staff to grow the Evangelisation culture and practice of both parishes.

Our journey to needing this role began in 2022 and we have a reasonably well-established Alpha experience that must be sustained and deepened from its current situation and broadened to include many other evangelisation facets such as:

  • Connect Groups / Faith Circles – that offer fellowship and formation beyond Alpha.
  • Youth Evangelisation – with a focus on accompaniment and leadership development.
  • Engaging with School Families – helping them to discover / rediscover a relationship with Jesus and with parish life.

The Evangelisation Leader is accountable for guiding strategic planning for aspects of evangelisation, and responsible for implementation: always in concert with the Parish Priest and Parish Pastoral Councils.

The role is envisaged as a 1-year contract which can become an ongoing role. It requires a flexible commitment equivalent to four days a week, spread across weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed. We open to adjusting to 3 or 5 days depending on the candidate.
