Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) is launching a series of online conversations as a catalyst for dialogue to explore The Light from the Southern Cross: Promoting Co-Responsible Governance in the Catholic Church in Australia Report. The sessions, which will be run throughout the year, aim to discover the richness of this resource and provide further formation on three key themes from the report:

  • Mission and Church;
  • Co-responsibility; and
  • Accountability and Synodality.

This July session will focus on "Mission and Church" with guest speakers:

  • Richard Lennan, "Locating ‘the church’: The Ecclesiology of Light from the Southern Cross"
  • John Warhurst, "The Contribution of The Light from the Southern Cross to the Plenary Council and Beyond"
  • Melissa Dwyer FDCC, "Building Bridges of Encounter: Mission, Inclusion and Hope for the Now"
