In the sensational acoustic of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Polyphonic Voices performs Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles (comp. 2005), an epic, long-form choral work inviting listeners to journey along the famous Camino de Santiago across northern Spain, from Roncesvalles on the French border to Santiago de Compostela on the Galician coast. Talbot and librettist Robert Dickinson draw on a wide range of musical styles, source texts and language traditions to reflect the diverse yet unifying experience of pilgrimage.
