In celebration of the Jubilee Year, Our Lady of Pentecost Parish will host a series of monthly pilgrimages at Our Lady of Victories Basilica in Camberwell. These pilgrimages will be held on the first Saturday of each month, from May through November 2025.

The structure of each pilgrimage is

  • 9–9.30am—Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and individual confessions
  • 9.30–10am—celebration of the Eucharist
  • 10–11am—pilgrimage presentation
  • 11am–12 noon—light refreshments—tea and coffee provided

On Saturday 4 October, Fr Frank O’Loughlin will explore the rites of Viaticum, a word meaning ‘what you need for the journey’, and of praying the
Commendation of the Dying, when a dying person is entrusted into God’s hands. In that moment of approaching death, these rites reflect
what we celebrate in every Eucharist.

Fr Frank is a renowned theologian and adult educator, and a priest for the Archdiocese of Melbourne. He lectured in fundamental and sacramental theology and liturgy at Catholic Theological College, Melbourne, and was Director of the Liturgical Centre in the Melbourne Archdiocese, as well as being parish priest of Sacred Heart in Sandringham for nearly 24 years.

No registration required.
