Bursaries and scholarships

Each year, more than $1,300,000 is given in scholarships and bursaries to over 220 students in the college. In 2024, more than 75 per cent of Newman residents were awarded some form of financial aid as either a scholarship and/or bursary. These are primarily awarded to students studying at the University of Melbourne, but students studying at other universities may be considered for financial aid at the discretion of the Provost of Newman College upon applying.
