Greensleeves explores the way that the colour green has pervaded music over the centuries. A symbol of jealousy, envy and beguilement on one hand, and peace and fertility on the other, the colour has long inspired composers and songwriters. Joining the Choir of Newman College is the Newman String Quartet to perform music from traditions as diverse as Irish ballads and Beach Boy songs to three exquisite classical renderings of ‘The Lord is my shepherd’.
