One of Britain’s most widely admired musicians and concert organists, Thomas Trotter, will visit our beautiful and inspiring St Patrick’s Cathedral in August with a recital program sure to please.
Trotter has performed at more than 800 concerts in his international career, with recent tours to Europe, China and Australia. He is an active recording artist, having notably recorded the complete works of French composer Maurice Duruflé.
Trotter’s achievements have been recognised through honorary doctorates from Birmingham City University and the University of Birmingham, as well as being awarded the Queen’s Medal for music by Her Majesty the Queen on St Cecilia’s Day in 2020.
This upcoming recital program includes works by Parry, Willan and Ligeti, plus Trotter’s own arrangement of Rossini’s overture to The Thieving Magpie.
Tickets: $30 full, $25 concession, free for those aged 15 years and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance, or simply pay by cash or card at the door.
