Join God and Beer for an inspiring and enlightening talk about the life and accomplishments of the great George Cardinal Pell, arguably the most significant leader in the history of the Australian Catholic Church.
An initiative of the Knights of the Southern Cross, God and Beer brings together people of all ages from across the south-east suburbs several times a year. By drawing on the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic tradition, God and Beer aims to inspire and strengthen Christians through ideas for renewing the Church.
This month's speaker is Bishop Peter Elliott, who studied together with Cardinal Pell at Oxford University where they began a friendship that would last over 50 years. An authority on the liturgy, sacramentality of marriage and religious education, he is an Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus for the Melbourne Archdiocese. Bishop Elliott worked alongside Cardinal Pell on numerous projects and is uniquely placed to explain ‘The Pell Legacy’.
Kids are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by parents.
Dinner is not available on this occasion. Talk begins at 7.30pm.
