Fiat at St Augustine’s 2025

Find stillness, peace and friendly faces in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD as St Augustine’s opens its doors on the evening of Friday 28 March. Over four hours, different groups will each lead an hour of prayer.

All are welcome at any point throughout the evening. Reconciliation will also be available.

This marks the opening of Fiat: A Weekend of Prayer, inspired by the annunciation (commemorated on the feast day falling on 25 March), when Mary, the model disciple, listened to the call of God and gave her wholehearted ‘yes’ to his mission. Parishes across the Archdiocese will host special Fiat hours of prayer from 28 to 30 March, highlighting different forms of prayer, including adoration, Reconciliation, music and more.
