About the musician

Christopher Cook grew up in Townsville and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in piano and organ from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 1983. In the decades following, professional study has seen him as an active participant in summer courses in Italy, Sweden, Lichtenstein, France and Canada. Christopher has reformed and enhanced the choral and organ music whilst directing at St Francis’ Theological College, All Saints’, Brisbane and St Peter’s, East Melbourne. He directs a fine vocal quartet at St John’s, Toorak, as well as promoting the marvellous Hill & Son instrument, now into its second century. Christopher is a director of the Organ Historical Trust of Australia (OHTA) and seeks to invigorate learning and interest in the organ in this country through his directorship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Organists (ANZCO).
