An evening of Lenten music with Br Michael Herry

Come along to the Marist Centre Melbourne to enjoy an evening filled with beautiful music, singing and prayer in preparation for the holy season of Lent and Holy Week with Fr Michael Herry.

This night will include a music sample of the 2025 Parish Lenten Hymn Booklet, music for Ash Wednesday, the new ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ hymns, the responsorial psalms for the Sundays of Lent, hints on how to use psalm tones, hymns for our combined liturgies and other beautiful hymns and Lenten liturgical chants.

Br Michael Herry is a Melbourne-based Marist brother and pastoral musician who has composed and presented liturgical music within the Australian Church for many years. He is passionate about the role music plays in worship and prayer, and in bringing us to a deeper experience of God, on truly ‘holy ground’, far beyond the horizon of mere thoughts and words.
