Safeguarding Children and Young People: Induction Session for Clergy and Employees
This compulsory induction session is specifically designed for persons (i.e. clergy and employees) who are newly appointed to the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne to:
- develop their awareness of and understanding of the different categories of abuse
- equip them to respond and report child abuse and child-safety related misconduct
- develop their knowledge of relevant child safety legislation in Victoria
- learn about the Safeguarding Children and Young People Framework and their responsibilities within parishes, agencies and entities.
You do not require any prior knowledge in this area. The induction is pitched at an introductory level.
