An opportunity for parishes to learn, share ideas and create connections with one another.

The Safeguarding Network meetings facilitated by our Safeguarding Officers create windows of opportunity for parishes to learn best practices, brainstorm and support one another during the safeguarding journey. Some participants have shared with us how these meetings have impacted them in a positive manner:

‘It is very helpful. We share our situation and learn from each other.

‘Listening to others as to what they are doing in their parishes, the opportunity to ask questions, utilizing the assessment tool and the clarification of expectations.

‘Becoming more familiar with safeguarding, learning from other parishes’ experiences and the support from PSU.’

Upcoming Network Meetings

In light of the upcoming audit from the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP), the focus for the next series of meetings will be the role of the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP). Please register your attendance via the below links for your region:

Two days prior to the meeting, you will be emailed the Zoom link and password. Attendance at these meetings is not compulsory. If you and/or the Safeguarding Committee require any support, guidance or advice from our team, we are contactable at any time to discuss your parish’s safeguarding needs. Please note that each of these dates will cover the same focus topic listed above and as such registering for one session is sufficient.
