Location: Brunswick Moreland Catholic Community (287 Sydney Rd, Brunswick)
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Tuesday – Thursday 9.00am –5.00 pm (negotiable)
Reports To: Parish Priest

Are you an experienced financial and asset management professional with a heart for community service? The Brunswick Moreland Catholic Community (BMCC) is seeking a dedicated Stewardship Coordinator to support our Parish operations and ensure the effective management of financial and property resources.

About the Role:

As the Stewardship Coordinator, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial and asset management of the Parish. Working closely with the Parish Priest, Parishioners, Schools, and various support departments, you will ensure smooth operations and effective stewardship of Parish resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the Parish Thanksgiving/Stewardship Program.
  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the Parish Accountant to maintain financial integrity.
  • Prepare budgets and reports for the Finance Committee and attend meetings as needed.
  • Support payroll processes and liaise with CAM Payroll.
  • Oversee the PACEM system and other finance-related tasks as directed by the Parish Priest.

Asset & Property Management:

  • Work alongside the Parish Property and Facilities Manager to oversee and manage Parish assets.
  • Assist in planning, development, and maintenance of all Parish properties.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to optimize Parish asset utilization.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in financial management, accounting, and property management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and familiarity with PACM.
  • Understanding of payroll functions and industrial legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Respect for the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church.
