The Catholic Development Fund (CDF) provides financial services that support Catholic organisations, schools, and parishes in their mission. The CDF Community Fund helps individuals align their financial goals with their faith and values, ensuring their investments contribute to the common good.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Community Engagement Officer to join our team on a casual basis. You’ll promote CDF’s Community Fund products and strengthen relationships with Catholic parishes, schools, and organisations. Through presentations, events, and tailored communication, you’ll showcase the value of CDF to individuals and organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver presentations and events in parishes, schools, and partner organisations.
  • Support the Retail, Marketing, and Relationship Management teams with engagement activities.
  • Develop clear and engaging presentations explaining CDF’s mission and products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parish priests and school principals.
  • Communicate with prospective clients in person, via email, and by phone.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and communications meet compliance requirements.
  • Assist with copywriting for marketing materials, including emails, flyers, and website content.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Excellent public speaking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and tailor messaging accordingly.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation and creativity in developing engagement strategies.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office 365.

Role Requirements:

  • Casual position with weekend work required, including Sundays.
  • Access to a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work in the office on Mondays and Thursdays, with flexibility on other days.
