Cleaner - St John the Baptist Parish

The Parish of St John the Baptist is a vibrant growing community located in Ferntree Gully. This Parish is seeking a self-managed reliable cleaner to join their team.
The successful applicant must be well motivated to work for the Church and ideally possess a strong commitment to its practices and values. This casual position is based at the Parish Office in Ferntree Gully and will be responsible for cleaning the Church and Parish Hall. The role is 3 hours per week working Wednesday or Thursday (flexible). The successful applicant will work with the Parish Priest. Terms and conditions are governed by the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
Tasks and Responsibility
- Perform routine cleaning tasks
- Clean Parish Church and Parish Hall by performing duties such as dusting and vacuuming
- Work within the Australian hygiene standards and Guidelines
- Maintain professional & respectful working relationship with Parish Priest and Staff
- Communicate well with Parish Priest and Staff
The ideal candidate should pertain the following attributes
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Reliable and Punctual
- Possess a good work ethic
- Manual handling ability
- Knowledge of hygiene standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to multi-task & complete work in time frames.
Other Relevant Requirements
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check (new Check required)
- Valid Driver License
