In this week's round up of stories, we head out to the north-west of Melbourne and visit St Peter's Keilor East, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary as a parish. The area has long been a gathering place for people of faith, with Melbourne's first Archbishop, James Alipius Goold, having celebrated Mass in the homes of locals long before the current church was built. We also hear from Sr Mary O’Shannassy SGS OAM, who last week was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate from the Australian Catholic University for her work in prison chaplaincy over the last 25 years.

Finally, as we celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, let us offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God for all the women who have reared and shaped us into who we are today. 🙏
