Pastoral Care Practitioner

The Pastoral Care Practitioner oversees and coordinate's the sacramental and spiritual life of VMCH residents. As an integral member of Pastoral Care Services within VMCH, you will have significant responsibility in the provision of face-to-face pastoral care at our Aged Care Facility in Balwyn.

• Provision of emotional and religious/spiritual care to all residents
• Provide grief and loss support and offer palliative care support to residents and their families
• Coordinate pastoral care activities between parish, volunteers and the community
• Liaison with leaders of various denominations and faiths to meet the religious and spiritual needs of all residents.

skills and experiEnce

• Pastoral and/or Theological (CPE) qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience in pastoral care and counselling and in working with people experiencing grief and loss.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite
